The New York University Quizbowl team is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a mirror of Cal's Mid Spring Tournament (CMST) on Saturday, March 3rd. The difficulty of this tournament is Nationals-minus and it is Open to all teams.

The tournament will take place at NYU’s Global Center for Academic and Spiritual Life (GCASL) building, which is located at 238 Thompson Street. We will begin registration at 9 AM and hope to get games started by 9:30. We will be capping the field at 20 teams.

Registration for this tournament will have a base fee of $150 per team. Discounts will be available for the following:
-$10 per buzzer system
-$15 per moderator with working laptop
-$10 travel discount for every 150 miles travelled (calculated based on Google Maps)

Payment will be accepted in the form of checks or cash on or before the day of the tournament. Checks should be made out to "New York University" with "Quiz Bowl@NYU" in the memo line. We will supply invoices.

To register for the tournament please email me at [email protected] with "CMST registration” in the subject line. Feel free to email me or post in this thread with any questions or concerns, as well.

Is there any interest for a Scattergories 2 mirror at this site, as that is something I'd like to play if so.

Hey everyone - I'm currently looking for teammates for my team.

There are two spots open, so let me know if you're interested!

yo I'm on this team. we still need a 4th. ignore the haters, we're gonna win

Celebratory lunchtime beers on me if we make top 2 or bottom 2 of our prelim pool (replace 2 with 3 if pool has >6 teams!!!)

If you're still looking for a 4th, sure I'll join.

Hi! I've had my flight cancelled and am stuck in Philadelphia until Sunday. I'd like to play this, so if anyone can offer me either a place to crash in NYC or a spot on their team if they're not 4 I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Edit: I'll be a little late to the tournament most likely if I can't find somewhere to stay in NYC, but I fully intend to show up and play or staff.

I'm staying in Philly and coming to the tournament. Will be late. Also, can run Entirely Real Landscapes if people are interested.

Thank you to everyone who came out today. Yale cleared the field to win the tournament, with Amherst and Company coming in second.

Stats for All Games are now posted on the database. Let me know if you need us to make any corrections.
