Carnegie Mellon Quiz Bowl is pleased to announce Carnegie Quiz II, to be held at our Pittsburgh campus on Saturday, February 16, 2019. We will be using NAQT IS-181, including computational math tossups and bonuses.
As I will be out of town, Ruel Beresford, our vice president, will direct this tournament.
Registration: To register, please fill out [this form](https://goo.gl/forms/cZaaJOFrjHf6BDZO2) or email us at [email protected]. There is a soft cap of 24 teams, with the ability to expand pending interest and staff. Registration will close on Saturday, February 9, 2019, a week before the tournament.
Fees and Discounts:
Minimum fee per team: $40
$75 for the first team
$65 for each addtional team
-$10 for each working buzzer set. Buzzer sets must have eight functional buzzers to receive this discount.
-$10 for each experienced moderator
Format:
We will be using standard NAQT rules, including timed rounds, at this tournament.
Lunch:
We will break for lunch after the morning session. Within a five-minute walk from campus there are several eateries on Craig Street. With a slightly longer walk, there is a significantly larger selection further down Forbes Avenue towards Pitt.
If you have any questions about the tournament, feel free to send an email to [email protected] or post in this thread.
I have removed the previous field post. Ruel has posted an updated field below.

Re: Carnegie Quiz II, Pittsburgh, 2/16 (IS-181)
Hello everyone,
The field cap has not changed, but the field has slightly. Southside now has one team attending instead of two, so they will be 1,1,0. Morgantown, who registered, but due to human error was not placed on the forums, will bring one team, and will be 1,0,0 as well.So the field is still 24/24, but the teams have shifted slightly.
Thank you for remaining patient as we ensure our field remains as accurate as possible.

Hey everybody,
Carnegie Quiz II concluded today with DCC A clearing the field to win the tournament, and DCC B prevailing in a circle of death in order to take second place honors. This tournament was really fun to direct, and I thank all the staff, students, coaches, and parents that helped to make this tournament run so well. You can go to the following link to see the stats from Carnegie Quiz.
