A Discord open mirror of the 2019 Florida Spring Torunament (FST) is being held on June 15th 2019. The fee will be $15 per player. The tournament is completely open to all of those who have not heard the set, and teams or free agents may sign up here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
The field will be initially capped at 8 teams, though if there is interest we can expand the size.

Re: FST Discord Open Mirror - 06/15/19
This is a week out and there does not look to be a ton of interest as of right now. We have one full team of four and seven free agents signed up for a total of eleven interested players. I think we two options here:
1) One room shootout of all the toss ups with all eleven players. This will run faster as I don't think I will read the bonuses in this case.
2) A six team tournament of two-player teams if we get one more free agent interested, or five two player teams plus one solo-er. This way we could play bonuses and do a nice double round robin for 10 rounds, plus finals if people feel like it. This assumes the team of four is okay getting split in half.
I've set up a poll below with these option, so I encourage those who want to play to vote on what they'd prefer. Also, if there is a third sensible option for this number of interested people, let me know!

It looks like the overwhelming preference is for a six team tournament, so we will go with that. We've gotten several more sign ups, so it looks like most teams will have more than two people. Free agents can arrange themselves onto teams on the above sheet as they see fit. If free agents are not listed on a team by Friday evening I will put them on one. Also, if everyone who hasn't already could comment their emails on the sheet that would be good, I need them to send out the link to the server.
We will start the tournament at 9 AM EST on Saturday

While I am happy to start at 9am EST, there are people on the west coast who are planning on playing this tournament. Starting at 6am might be a tough ask for them. Any chance of starting a little later?

I also live on the west coast and I'm totally fine with a 6 am start.
EDIT: due to unexpected stuff, can't make it this time unfortunately.

Is there a logistics mail going out?
If the organizers haven't run a Discord tournament before, I recommend checking out my guide on running these tournaments: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=21446&p=348155&hili ... et#p348155
You might also want to contact Alejandro Lopez-Lago who may have a script to automate some of the channel creation tasks.

The logistics email was just sent out to everyone whose email I have. Some others have received Facebook DMs with the server link. If you still need the server link please contact me.

I want to thank everyone for playing today, I think we all had a good time. The team of Mike Bentley, Daniel Hothem, Chip Horton, and Victor Pavao won the tournament by going 7-3, so big congrats to them.
I'd also like to thank Jonathen Settle and Tracy Mirkin for moderating all day and keeping things running smoothly.
