The Edit Option (people who run this site, take notice)

Post by tj b boy »

As some may have noticed, I and others' posting styles lead to us looking stupid and getting in the way when we must correct ourselves, due to the lack of an edit option. For many reasons, I believe that if possible, an edit option would be the very first thing I would have changed about this site.

I guess I might as well see if I can make a poll, just for the hell of it. So I will. Keep in mind, I have no idea how this works, and there is no edit option, so it might not turn out well.

hmm. it killed my non-comedy third option, which was "yes, but it's not worth the effort required." I guess people who think that should just vote yes, since the admin(s) will know best anyway.

I will put it in on a trial basis. If it causes too much eating of site resources, or if I find *even one* person using it to change the content of a message in order to make a reply look bad, then it will be removed.

Yup. That way when we use this quote feature to point out something silly in another's post, it becomes readily apparent when the post has been changed.

Even if he hadn't been banned, i doubt he would've seen the light and given that post more, uh, pointful content.

edit, that's right, an edit, in this thread of all places, how ironic:
now we let this thread die.
