Hanover Quiz Bowl is proud to announce Hanover's Introductory/Novice Tournament (HINT). It will be held on Saturday, April 20 at Hanover High School, Hanover, New Hampshire. This is a mirror of the high school novice difficulty set MOQBA Novice. More details about the set can be found here:viewtopic.php?p=397068&hilit=moqba#p397068

Eligibility:
All players must be in the 12th grade or younger. All players have to be from the same school. All players need not have had experience with pyramidal quiz bowl.

Logistics:
All teams are guaranteed 8 games. Registration will open at 8:30 AM, and an opening meeting will be held at 9:00 AM for players and staffers. Games should start at 9:15 AM. We aim to be done by 3 PM.

Rules:
Each game will consist of 20 tossups and 20 three-part bonuses. 15 point powers and -5 point interrupt penalties will be used. For more information, please click the link here:https://www.naqt.com/rules/#general-information

Lunch:
Lunch will run from the end of round 4 (around 11:30 AM) to 12:30 PM. Teams are free to go get food around Hanover, and pizzas will be available for purchase. We will send out a form for pizza orders in the week leading up to the tournament. We will aim to start round 5 at 12:35 PM.

Fees:
This tournament will cost $70 per team. There is a $25 discount for each reader and $5 discount for each buzzer set that you bring to the tournament. Readers should preferably have experience, but it is not necessary and we can train you. The minimum fee is $40.
