This is the general announcement for the UCSD site of PADAWAN, which will run on October 11th.

The base fee is $120.

Discounts:
-$20 per 200 one-way driving miles (as measured by the shortest on Google Maps)
-$10 for each fully functional buzzer system
-$15 for providing a fully competent reader. These need to be cleared with me at least two weeks before the tournament. Staffers will be provided with lunch.
-$80 for being a brand new team

You must pay in full by check or cash at registration. I will not let you play this tournament until you've paid. So, if you arrive without payment in hand, you will be directed to an ATM to obtain payment.

While you're welcome to post in this thread to express interest, official registration happens only be e-mailing ucsdqb AT gmail DOT com. Please put the words "PADAWAN", "UCSD", and "Registration" in the subject-line of your e-mail.

The on-campus location will be determined later.

Looks like we're at 10 teams, so I'll close the field. The contact from each team will get an email from ucsdqb @ gmail.com with details on when and where the tournament will be.

ASU defeated UCLA in the first game of an advantaged final 255-235. Caltech finished third and Claremont B finished fourth.

Arcadia did not attend, while Claremont dropped a team, leaving the field at 8 teams.
