Post by quizzical1 »

I am doing the MSNCT, and I want to know the best players. Who are they in your opinion?

1. It's mid-October. There's no reason for anyone, especially a middle schooler, to worry about who the "top players" are at this point in the season.

2. Look here.

Karthika Jayakumar, Challenger School, Strawberry Park
Evan Ting, Sycamore School
Anika Bansal, Middlesex Middle School
Sheehan Banka, River Trail Middle School
Kavin Anreddy, Winston Churchill Middle School
Arjun Vijaykumar, Redwood Middle School
Abhiraam Girish, William Hopkins Middle School
Arman Makhani, Greenhill Middle School
Bhavya Thakur, Anderson Middle School
Adrish Bhattacharyya, Winston Churchill Middle School
Ray Zhao, Cooper Middle School
Ian Cheng (small children are good at quizbowl!), Colvin Run Elementary School
Satvik Jain, Burleigh Manor Middle School
Ryca Finan, Finan Homeschool

imo all these players are very possible t10 players but it’s very hard to give a definitive ranking (although I would the top spot belongs to either Karthika or Evan)

Let us just say there are players very comparable to Evan in skill if not better. Very definitive list cannot be made yet.

Although I think that Evan is better than Karthika, I wish both of them the best at MSNCT.

That's my bad. I purely based the ranking off of stats from last year's MSNCT. Totally took a "if they were good last year, they are good this year" approach. That was made at the beginning of the year. I agree, Anika is absolutely insane. I should have done more research. Good luck to all players at MSNCT.
