This new event to the Southwest Virginia Academic Team Alliance calendar was formatted after the NAQT Individual Players National Championship Tournament and after the Iowa Quiz Bowl League’s Solo Challenge tournament, and pitted individual players without teammates against one another in matches against seven to eight other players.

Initial field cap is 32 players, subject to expansion with recruitment of additional staff.
