Thank you for everybody who came out to New Haven today to play and staff ACF Fall! Congratulations in particular to Brown B , our overall, undergrad, and DII champion, who won a neck-and-neck final (shortened so that both teams could make their train) over Boston University A . Re: 2020-21 Groger Ranks Player Poll

It has come to my attention that there are some people who are not voting Arthur Delot-Vilain at the top of their poll. I'm here to tell them why they are wrong. I think the lack of tournaments Arthur has played and the lack of people to hype him up on Discord servers has made people forget how good...

This question's been asked before. I like Mike Cheyne and Bruce Arthur's answers. I don't have that much more to say but to reiterate Bruce's point that, if you can figure out what word the moderator is about to say, you can buzz on a half-syllable of a word instead of having to hear the whole word...

Don't underrank Katherine Lei. Her science specialism alone would be enough to put her into the top 10 (she's not as good as Geoffrey Chen, but at HS Nats difficulty she plays similarly), but she's also an amazing literature and FA player, which means she should be ranked higher than Geoffrey was. I calculated BPA for BLAST Online this afternoon. Although I might be the only person who a post like this applied to, I thought I'd put here a few of the traps I fell into and how to avoid them. I calculated it in R, using Ryan's script posted above. I've never used R before this afternoon, but I w...
