Tookie was pretty easy at HSNCT. unfortunately, I said Tookie and completely blanked when prompted. I guess last names are pretty important. Even worse: we lost by 10 points and it would have gotten us into top 10. Gah.

That said, remind me: Chip only rebounds on his 10-question team round, right? Lightning round and bonus round bouncebacks. In Bonus round you get bonus questions until you miss (5 10 15 20). So if you get the 5 and 10 and miss the 15, and the other team answers 15 correctly...net points for you on...

As Matt sorta brought up, did anybody else think set 56 was quite easy for a level 2 set? I got my most powers ever on that set, and I am not really a power player...I am more of a neg kinda player. :razz:

Well, this is my last year, but I don't know. A lot of it depends on how much it costs etc. If we went to only one of the two (HSNCT and PACE) then I'm sure it would work, but a lot of our trips in the "regular season" involve buses, so money gets to be a problem toward the end of the year.

Again, not trying to start format wars... We go to NAC because our local TV competition pays for us to go when we win. Otherwise, the money goes to another school. NAQT is superior though, and despite the claim of "significa" rather than "trivia", there was a question about frost...

I am pretty sure for our tournament, we randomized the pairings for rounds 1 and 2, and then based round 3 matchings off of round 1, round 4 off of round 2, etc. This was so teams wouldnt have to wait for the schedules to be posted. Im not exactly sure how NAQT nats did it :neutral:

It depends on the style of the team and its players. There will be some very aggresive players who will rack up 20 negs but get 60 to 80 tossups over a 10-game tournament. This is fine. well, i guess this is the same thing as a TU/-5 ratio in NAQT.
I'd say anywhere from 4-10 like you said is good, although i think 5-8 would be ideal.

Observation: If you look at last years HSNCT, the range of TU/-5 of the top 5 individual scorers is 4.4 to 6.8

After just making the teams for DE State Tournament (on saturday jan 21)
i noticed that a lot of times, freshman girls arent comfortable playing with all guys on their teams. this made it a whole lot harder to make the teams (we have 6 teams :shock: ) but hey, you gotta "git-r-done"

yeah we had that problem last year. she brought her mom along and they had a room, so it wasnt much of a "problem". this was at HSNCT. this year, we are taking one to Qunlimited in SA too. again, shouldnt be a problem

on our 5-6 teams...:shock:, we have about 5 or 6 girls
although our A team is four guys, (Chinese, Chinese, Chinese...and me :cry: ) the difference in talent between the girls and guys on our teams isnt that great although the guys are more aggressive which is a bit necessary in QB
