Ah, I remember that game. I was wondering how a team that made the state tournament could be that...out of it (no offense).

Retraction

Yeah, sorry. Very juvenile of me. I was just reminiscing about the "glory days" and saw something about Stevenson that triggered bitter memories. Yes, not classy, and yes, there were plenty of other questions we could have answered. My apologies. I'm just saying they were definitely beatable.

The last time Stevenson won, we had them beat if it wasn't for poor writing in math questions.

Also, I'd assume it'd be kind of hard to find a date for any sort IHSSBCA state tournament, since everything is booked, and it would be difficult to have after the season.
Not to mention illegal according to IHSA, unless the IHSSBCA tournament would not be 5-on-5.[/quote]

As far as poor questions is concerned, I find it hard to use that label when Normal West and Morton combined for almost 600 points. Also, it's hard not to struggle when you're playing against the 2nd best team in state (1st in my opinion). Regardless, I hope the purple people-eaters finally get what...

You, and everyone else who I beat by 10 points or less, and there were a lot of matches like that. But, I would most definitely be willing to play you again. That was a fun match.

Out of curiosity, Justin, how many did you get on the Individual test for ICTM regionals, and in what class?

Agenda:

1. How much longer until the deadline for entries?

2. All Peoria-area players who plan on attending: We should carpool down to this thing. Contact my coach to get my information so we can set this thing up.

PAL

Peoria Area League starts on Tuesday, but without Bloomington and Normal West, which makes it a dogfight between Heights and IVC and then Morton's thrown in there for good measure. Not much excitement, to be honest.

Bloomington Quadrangle

Four teams were supposed to compete, but one pulled out. So, here are the other results. This was not really a tournament, but more like a little get-together. Varsity: 1 Bloomington 2 Morton 3 Combination team of Morton and Bloomington players 4 Pekin JV: 1 Bloomington 2 Pekin A 3 Morton 4 Pekin B ...

RCC All-Tournament

Other two members were John from Moline and maybe Hunter Fast from Bloomington, but I'm not sure about No. 5. On a sidenote, during the pool play in the morning: Bloomington 270 Morton 260 Team toss-up Totals: Bloomington 10 Morton 10 First time in Morton history that two teams combined to answer ev...

Bloomington Kickoff All-Tourney

Another Decatur LSA player finished in 8th. Also, a Springfield player (John Smillie told me the name, which I promptly forgot) finished either 4th or 5th. Eventually I'll get this thing right.

Bloomington Kickoff

This one was a barnburner, ladies and gentlemen. First of all, only one of the top four seeds advanced into the semifinals. Secondly, that seed was promptly beaten. Here are the results from Saturday's Bloomington Kickoff 1. Quincy HS 2. Springfield HS 3. Morton HS 4. Bradley Bourbonnais HS As far a...

PAWAC

First of all, I am a complete idiot. I apologize for not knowing that a new subject would put out a new thread. (See PAWAC thread) Secondly, I hate to stray from the ever-popular Solo competition, but there was another tournament on Saturday, albeit not as glamorous. Here are the results from the Pe...

PAWAC

I hate to deter comments from the "awesome" Solo tourney, but, just for the sake of knowledge, here are the results from Saturday's Peoria Area World Affairs Council tournament: 1. Bloomington HS 2. Normal West 3. Morton 4. Peoria Heights All-tournament team: Greg Baboukis, Normal West Hunter Fast, ...

First, I must clarify that the information about a 24-question match was from I E SA.org and not IHSA.org. I apologize for being stubborn. Second, congratulations to the downstate force just down I-74. If possible, I would like to know the All-Tournament Team, top TU-person, and how Bloomington indi...

rules

I saw those minutes. That was not the page to which I was referring. There was another page. I don't know. Maybe I was dreaming it up. Regardless, I hope that they do shorten the matches. I realize why they have 30 questions, but if there weren't, Tyler Kerr would not have beat us last year and we w...

New rules

I read some sort of list of recommendations that I believe that IHSA approved/disapproved. Among them included one that reduced the number of questions at the state final. However, since reading them, I have not been able to find them again. If you know anything about these rumors or can find the li...

apologies

I apologizing for giving the wrong impression about Smillie. I am Wiley. I loved playing with him. I just figured that others did not like playing against him. I apologize for the misunderstanding. I also apologize for thinking that Vik had graduated. I'm now very scared that he hasn't. Thank you fo...

Kerr

Just to boost his ego, last year, we were by 100+ at half. He alone came back and won by 70+. Best ever from Auburn, I'd say so.

Peoria Sectional

As far as the Bloomington/Peoria/I-74 sectional is concerned, I have to be leaning towards Bloomington. Even with Vik off to college, Hunter can still dominate in the Soc. Stud. department. Baboukis could come up and surprise some with a sectional win. And, even with the ever-annoying Smillie out of...
