Re: Attitudes towards quizbowl

Alright, I'll bite. Let me say that I agree with most everything that Jerry said in his post, but I think there's an aspect of truth in what Taylor was saying, which has been talked about in COTKU thread, but I'd rather not contribute to that abortion of a thread. First, I think the most important t...

Re: CBI Regionals!

I'm sure there's plenty of improprieties committed by CBI, I've heard of several myself. I'm sure you could make similar arguments against doing immoral things like shopping at Walmart, eating at McDonalds, paying taxes to the US government, doing drugs, downloading thousands of dollars worth of ill...

I just wanted to thanks Chuck and Shorter for hosting a good tournament and the editors for putting together another good ACF Fall. It continues to be perhaps my favorite tournament of the year. It was good to see such a large and diverse field, too. I wish we had gotten to play everyone who was the...

Thanks to Vandy for hosting the tournament. It was well-run and my team and I had a good time. It was a solid question set, mostly of about the difficulty I expected. I appreciated the level of competition, also, which was about as level as you can get in a field of this size. Hope to see everyone a...

Interestingly, UT-Chattanooga is pretty wrapped up in Coke money as well (that sounds wrong). The Lupton family, who opened the first Coke-bottling plant in Chattanooga, contributes a lot of money and, subsequently, the library is named after them.
