Re: 2024 NAQT SCT @ Syracuse (02/03/2024)
Parking and Transit has told me that if you tell the lot attendant that you are part of the Quiz Bowl Association event and NOT the Dome event your parking fees should be waived. I was surprised by this as this is the first time I have ever seen this happen so consider yourselves lucky.

Re: 2024 NAQT SCT @ Syracuse (02/03/2024)
I am unable to make a recommendation at the current moment as what lots have openings will depend on the number of permits purchased for the Lacrosse game. Unlike at most universities Lacrosse is a major sport at Syracuse and they are expecting thousands of spectators due to the high preseason ranki...

Re: Holiday Hippopotamus Invitational Packets (October/November 2023)
As I told Sid privately we, at Syracuse, were really looking for a hybrid to play this year and this seemed like a good opportunity when he brought it up. I understand the fear in scheduling a hybrid with a slightly more inexperienced writing team but personally I feel as hybrids have a place in int...

Re: 2023 NAQT SCT: February 4
Okay my last post was incessantly long already but I thought of another thing: the drives from basically any of the schools that are going to the Cornell mirror to Penn State are shorter than the drives from a lot of the typical Mid-Atlantic schools to Penn State. It’s not entirely clear to me that...

ACC Quizbowl
Hello Quizbowl Community. Fourteen of the current fifteen ACC Schools have been active in the quiz bowl world as recently as 2021. As the person that is currently in the process making quizbowl a registered student organization at Syracuse University, I am very pleased by that. From my understanding...

Re: Syracuse University
This will probably be one of my final updates but today we completed RSO registration and are now waiting approval before we can start the RSO orientation process. The goal remains to be fully recognized by the start of spring semester. Now that goal almost drifted away today as we came within one h...

Re: Syracuse University
I just wanted to provide an update to the community on where we are at in our plans to secure the future of Quiz Bowl at Syracuse University. It seems we have found a core group to do most of our playing and to lead the club for next year. I just have a few questions as we approach both our paper wo...

Re: Syracuse University
Sadly Syracuse University only considers Registered Student Organization applications received before the third Friday of the semester each semester, which means that we cannot become one until next fall. I have already been informed that we cannot be part of the activities fair, orientation, apply ...

Hello to all of you in the quizbowl community. I participated in quiz bowl in middle and high school. When I got to UAlbany, the program had just disbanded and since I transferred after one semester I could not make much of a dent there. When I got to Binghamton, I wanted to start a program there be...
