Loyola regional looks decent ... unfortunately, Loyola/Fenwick are two of the 4 best teams in the sectional, and one will have to go down.

Overall, the North/West suburb sectional is not what it was last year ...

Coaches get together and examine record, stregnth of schedule, PPG, etc to evaluate the best 32 teams in the state. Any coach whose team wishes to be considered must be present at the meeting. My coach told us that at Fenwick they will be grouping the six top teams (I'm assuming WN, NT, Libertyville, Fenwick, St. Iggy, & OPRF). Which gives an entirely new meaning to the name "bloodbath"

The fact that one of either Maine South or New Trier isn't going to Peoria already sees the state finals losing credibility. Make that five of either Maine South, Maine East, New Trier, Fenwick, OPRF, and St. Ignatius. What kills me is that at least two of those teams won't even make it to SECTIONA...

Apparently St. Ignatius is now in Sub-Sectional A (i.e. the one with OPRF, Fenwick, etc.) of the New Trier sectional. Well, looks like that's settled...not only does sub-sectional A have 15 (!) teams in it, but the NT sectional is as strong as it was last year, Marist is as weak as it was last year...

Yup ... looks like the NT sectional is far & away the hardest with Marist & Bradley as the easiest, but putting St. Ignatius in Marist will at least make it more difficult. NT is too close to all .. just as last year four different teams would have won the MS sectional if it ws played four different...

OP will not be there--we tried to get a team together, but 4 of our top 6 members are busy (come to think of it, I might have a conflict that day, also). Our next meet will be Fenwick on 2/10, which will also be our 3rd meet.

Any possibility that some teams will get moved from NT (as in, Maine S last year) to the Marist? I really like Mr. Riley's idea, but have a few suggestions. For A and C tournaments, there should be some type of qualifying factor. That is, the A tournaments, the TD should have some idea of who the "best teams" are ... obviously some teams are always very strong, and then otherwise he can look at...
