My Facebook news feed had told me that Rappahannock Co. won Conference 43 (Rapp River Conference), and the Rapp News tells me it was over the other Rappahannock -- the one in Warsaw, VA. How confusing.

Teams should come to this because Bob Powers runs a really, really good tournament every year, the format is fun, and the questions are challenging, but accessible. I'm trying to get Rapp to come even though there is a new travel restriction on quizbowl trips.

Just to let everyone know, we have dropped to 13 teams. As 13 is the death wish for tournament coordinators, we will be on the lookout for a few players who would be willing to play on a scab team, just to make our scheduling lives easier!

Tentatively, we are looking at a 9 AM start, 5-6 matches in the morning, lunch, 3-4 more in the afternoon, and we should be done by 4, God willing. Your players should be fine, barring unforeseen circumstances. We should be sending out the email to coaches on Monday.

Is it VHSL prognostication time? I believe that it is! A: George Mason is pretty beastly this year, but they do have holes as well, and Honaker is putting up roughly the same scores as Mason. Nandua is putting up some pretty decent scores as well, and I wouldn't count Clarke out, as I have seen them...
