I'm somewhat skeptical that any hotel deal would be cheaper than what teams would get if they shopped around/used Priceline or a similar service (based on my general sense of hotel deals and my specific experience of beating the group rate the last time I attended an ACF Nats that used a hotel deal).

A New York team of John Lawrence, Richard Yu, Doug Yetman, and Guy Tabachnik would be good, although probably not on CA/VA/MD level. Obviously this is up to the PACE powers that be, but if I were running the NSC I'd be really unenthusiastic about staffers playing a side event where the plan was to finish at midnight on Saturday (especially given how wildly long side events tend to run).
