Re: Side Event Tournament in NYC- 8/7/16

Just to clarify Aaron's question, would it be okay to extend Listory to triples for everybody (i dont think its fair to extend it just for one team)? It seems based on comments in the Spreadsheet there are other free agents who would be interested in playing it as Trips as well, and I think there wo...

Re: DI specific question discussion

For what its worth, Yogesh R. got a decent buzz on the Maria Tallchief question for our team and reading through her wiki page she does seem like an important figure in her field. I can definitely see it having one of the lower tossup conversion rates in the set though. And just curious, did anyone ...

Re: Region 1 SCT at MIT (February 16, 2013)

Hi, so I'm not sure why I'm posting this since I don't really care too much one way or the other but... Since MIT gets an automatic bid to ICT for hosting, is there any way you guys would consider dropping your house team in Div I? I only brought this up because having 9 teams is kinda messy and a s...

Re: MUT 2012 Discussion

Actually I really enjoy fine arts questions. Anyway my main point was not that fine arts is overrepresented so much as I feel Social Science is underrepresented. I was simply just looking for a category where I could replace some tossup/bonuses from that part of the distribution with SS questions. I...

Re: MUT 2012 Discussion

First thanks to Minessota for producing some very well written questions. I know that our NYU team really enjoyed playing them. I guess my only real criticism is what I thought were some variances in bonus difficulty. Just speaking from personal experiences it seemed for our team at least most of ou...

Re: ECSO: Let's Do This Again?

Hey what's up. I'm a current (though too lazy to go to tournaments) member of the NYU quiz bowl team. Of course I don't hold any leadership positions (because I'm a freshman) so I can't promise you anything but I will talk to our president/e-board to see if we can host something this summer. If not ...

No complaints except having to get a diet soda for my combo meal during lunch... Seriously though, the questions were good. This is my third year attending your tournament and I believe you guys have used a different format each year (Three quarters w/o worksheets in 2006, 4 quarters w/ worksheets e...

At Norcross, we hosted a Students v. Teachers academic team event. It consisted of the AP and IB teachers and our regular team. Basically we played two games with two regular naqt packets(make sure you've never heard the answers). Ticket prices were for 3 dollars a person and it takes about an hour ...
