Re: Critique Fred's Questions
Yeah this is pretty hard for sct. I figured out pretty quickly it was a rebellion in canada and subsequently negged with red river rebellion thinking that sct would not ask for this--silly me.

I am not sure the exact schedule for all the side tournaments, but if this does not conflict with either the lit or fine arts tournaments then I can staff.

Re: How should NAQT change its distribution for 2010-11?
Having written many naqt geography questions, I believe this category should be cut down 25% and that equivalent number of questions per packet set added to myth/religion, especially non-greek myth. I love geography, but there are just simply too many questions and askable answers will continue to b...

I actually mean buzzers here and not teams. We don't know whether we will have just the two packet writing teams or an additional freshman team at this point in time.goblue16 wrote:We are going to bring 3, and can bring another slightly broken one if necessary.

There are apparently no more vans (or cars) to be had from the university, we weren't able to find anyone willing to lend us a car, and can't afford to rent one, so unfortunately Michigan's team and a half will have to drop out. Sorry - we've never been unable to get a university car before... We'r...

I'm guessing that clue refers to a specific quote about how Wilson's politics were so similar to Hughes' politics that the only difference between them was a shave. Not being familiar with the quote, I can't say for sure. I don't actually mean JFK and Nixon's physical differences during the debate,...

I thought the history was well-written and extremely accessible, so props for that. Off the top of my head, one of the tossups that I had a problem with was the invading/conquering persia one. If you could post that I could offer my criticism, since I can only remember one or two clues from it.

I also felt that econ was over-represented to the detriment of other equally important SS, like anthro. Overall, this was a very good tournament and a particularly enjoyed the history, which, in my opinion, did not have any outlying/weird answers. I particularly thought the Fritz Lang tossup was wel...
