On some Westchester schedule (mainly of the local tournaments) it was listed as either the 7th or the 14th but that could have just been speculation on the part of whoever typed up the schedule.

Put Byram down tentatively for 2 teams- I'll fill out the official registration after running it by the coach. I may be mistaken, but NAQT States for NY is currently between this weekend and the weekend after. You might want to check that, as it would probably impact attendance.

Re: Byko Rankings 2008-2009
Do you have the results for the Yale Fall Tournament? Only one match is in the database from the tournament- I'm just wondering if that's just all you've inputted or if that's all you have. If you're missing some results, I can give you some, although not all.

Re: BHSAT XVIII (3/28/2009) at Yale (New Haven, CT)
Byram will bring two teams, one buzzer. I know this is way early, but I'd end up forgetting to put us down and then we'd lose the early registration bonus. Might as well be on my A game.

The Mattison twins, who are a main force behind our A team, have just informed me that they can't go. This leaves the weaker two members of the A team, Raymond Xu and myself, as the A teamers currently attending. We're considering calling up the top two B teamers or just canceling- I'll let you know...

Last I heard, Fung Wah didn't have any buses leaving from New York anytime near 5:00. Maybe we'll take it up the night before then and crash in the r...

Any idea when the first rankings will be released? Also, in terms of suggestions, it would be cool if there was a specific time set for rankings updates (weekly, semiweekly, monthly). Basically, the tradition is that there are two leagues in Westchester that have deals with :chip: and they get questions from him. Well, we (Byram Hills) beat Booker T at :chip: Nationals and I like to think that makes us a lot better than we are. "Deposed Governors" was a good theme, but we need a New Yorkier one. How about "Corrupt New York Politicians"? I'm feeling Boss Tweed, Mr. Spitzer (again), Adam Clayton Powell, Jr., and Samuel Swartwout. A bit obscure, I'd admit, but quizbowlers are known for their love of obscur...

Instead of full rebracketing, how about you rebracket the top 6 and then the 7-10 can play in a single elimination "consolation" playoff bracket? Then the winners of the 7-10 and 8-9 matches can get quarter final trophies, the bottom 2 of the top 6 will also get quarterfinals, next 2 semis...

After the amazing experience today at the SHP tournament, I wouldn't miss a local NAQT tournament (let alone one in my own backyard) for the world.
