How long are you all thinking tryouts would take? Manual is just about 5 minutes away from the Galt House.... I'd have to get approval (which I don't think would be a problem), but we could host tryouts on the last day of State. I do agree that pretty much everyone who would be interested would be ...

I have a feeling that no matter what we do, there is no way everyone interested will be able to be present. Maybe we should have a back up plan or something through the internet? Have two tryouts?? Since Dunbar is using HSAPQ sets, would the tournament be a good way of, kind of, surveying potential prospects for the All-Star team? Centre would be interested in hosting a tryout tournament for team Kentucky, and then appoint a coach by voting, probably. Great! Assuming tryouts do happen somewhere, how should we do it? If you can make sure the there are no delays, I doubt many people will complain. There will always be a couple of kids who can't do the same thing over 3 hours, but finishing by 4 or 4:30 should be acceptable to most. I mean it's just like an average school day with an after school activity.

I personally didn't notice a huge amount of buzzer races, not compared to other NAQT tournaments I've been to. I mean, NAQT tend to have more buzzer races than HSAPQ or house-written tournaments due to its shorter toss-ups.

I wouldn't say Dunbar A would definitely be able to hang with DCC A, especially the full team. Of course nothing that can affect anyone within a year or so. But maybe something to get them start thinking about pyramidality. I know Gov Cup claims it wants clues in descending order of difficulty, but usually that doesn't happen as there's only 1 or 2 legitimate clues.
