The first five games did not carry over. Seeding was determined by record and cumulative points in the second set of 5 games.

For now, we will cap the field at 18 teams (those which have registered via email). For any teams that would be interested in coming but have not yet registered, we will start a waitlist. If we get 6 teams on the waitlist and extra moderators, we may be able to accomodate 24 teams.

A lot of minor changes have been made and will continue to be made, in addition to those mentioned in that google doc, as you mention. In about a week, it should be ready for any neutral quizbowl expert to look through and approve.

There are numerous instances of teams attending once and never again. Isn't that proof that some aspect of a tournament was unsatisfactory to them?
Also, as one of the best high school quizbowlers of all time, isn't your perspective of quizbowl far different than a team of weaker players?

Seeing the Centennial Attack tournament in Georgia, we are considering bracketing teams by national-caliber and regular varsity to promote more games between teams of like ability. Most likely, teams will be able to choose which bracket to participate in. Thoughts on this?

I distinctly remember the Hammond coach saying at the Centennial tournament that he "wanted to avoid controversy" so he chose a "reputable company". It is an absolute travesty that 50 teams attended this.

For RM, as far as I remember, the only tossup that went dead in 10 games was Eudora Welty, that was a bit of outlier in difficulty. There never seemed to be any misplaced powers so that was good. Along with TP/StA as some of the best housewrites

The questions were very good, very similar to last years St Anselms/Torrey Pines. The trend toward conservative difficulty seems to be good for the non-elite teams. Only one tossup went dead for us in the entire tournament i believe
