I remember the very first HSNCT at the University of Oklahoma. Rob, Eric, et al did their usual good job from the very beginning. The only one I missed was 2003 in Myrtle Beach, SC. 2012 in ATL will be my last one as a coach.

Brookwood (#2 seed) won the varsity division (16 teams) of the Gwinnett County Scholars Bowl on Saturday, Sepr 25. ACE Camps in 2011

ACE has finalized plans for its first camp in 2011. It will be held June 19-23 at the University of Illinois.

The 2 July camps will be held at Milligan College in Johnson City, TN and Campbellsville University in KY. Dates for those two camps are not finalized as yet.

Nope. But I can tell you that the Milligan camp has 149 student campers, 9 adult campers, and 17 staff. Dunbar has 3 kids regsitered: John, Valerie, and Vania.

ACE will offer Physics also but only at our Milligan camp in TN.

ACE will offer European History Topics: 1500-1815 at SEMO only.

Not all our courses are offered at every camp. Availability of qualified staff dictates some of that.

ACE is offering a course in Current Events at all three camps this summer for the first time. One of the focuses of that class will be to describe ways players can easily keep up with current events as then quiz bowl year progresses.

No refrigs at Milligan. Really spartan there compared to Campbellsville which is like the Hilton compared to Milligan.

Nothing commercial is anywhere near Milligan College. Seriously. No CVS adjacent to the campus like in Campbellsville. So, no one will be leaving the MC campus during that ACE camp unless driven by an adult. Sorry about that.

William: The State set we used on Saturday had exactly two math tossups/bonuses in each round and not three. And, we had exactly one art and one music set per match, so those numbers were exact. Congrats to Centennial and Chattahoochee for their top finishes yesterday at State JV. Looks like, with 5 of the 8 top finsihers, that Fulton County Schools has asserted itself in state 5A quiz bowl. Let's hope that isn't true at Varsity State! :-)
