I will be stepping down as co-coach of Centennial and handing over all responsibilities to Mike Sorice, a net gain if you ask anyone. Re: NAQT Illinois State Championship - 2/22/2014, Urbana, IL
Looking at the stats, I noticed that there were a decent number of games that had less than 20 tossups heard, so I did some analysis, and got the following results: (Note: this is only from the games on packets that all teams were guaranteed to play) 32% of the games had less than 20 tossups read, ...

Not to detract from Sorice's announcements, but are there any predictions as to who is taking home this trophy?
I predict Bloomington A over Centennial by 5 after we neg on the final tossup on something obvious like Bizet.

The bottom pool had four teams that were actually at the tournament, so they should have been able to play three afternoon rounds and go home by 4:15. This is the reason we left. We intended to play 3 matches after rebracketing but our opposing team was a no-show presumably because they thought the...

I don't understand our Sectional seeding pairings. We seeded Central number 8 knowing that they would probably be geographically matched with us, and then we seeded Mahomet higher, at 6 because they said they'd travel. Meanwhile, H-F gets the number 4 seed and NO other seeded teams. What a joke.
