Overall it was well run, but was there any rhyme or reason to how the brackets were set up? I think a couple of schools had fairly easy mornings compared to others.

If there is an administrator out there....I think it is long passed time to close this thread.....especially since it has degraded into not so subtle bashing. Frankly, if I had a team that was capable of going to a national tournament, I doubt I would take them after reading the last several posts.....

Well......last year, Richards is where Wheaton North lost before winning everything else.......I didn't see the finals, but it looks like "the usual suspects" (except for Fremd) all got upset at some point. While Fremd looks pretty darn good, I don't know if I would go putting these Maines...

but if you need 2 math people for IHSA matches, you need to redefine your definition of math person In my opinion, the lelve of math in the state tournament (not necessarily the local matches) has gotten much tougher.....in the state finals it seems that people today get a lot fewer math questions ...

I can't say for sure, but I seem to think it has been around for some time.....I could be wrong. It might be very recent. The document wasn't dated, and all I have is the most recent.

Styxman They brought a rule book along and when an answer didn't go their way, the protested that it was right according to the rule book. They managed to delay the match 10 minutes. In the semis, when they played Rockford Guildford, they managed to delay that match a half hour over a rule dispute....

IMSA is a public school, not a private one. Yes it is......but........yes it is. I for one was never "recruited" for my scholastic bowl skills (or my math skills, for that matter), nor have I ever heard of that happening to anyone. I did not mean to imply that the whole team was recruited...
