Re: New Trier Scobol Solo (IL 11/10)

Is there by any chance a video recording of the final? I feel interested in watching it in my spare time.

Re: Wildcat XIV at Northwestern (5/20/12)

There's just a minor error in the team roster for IMSA B. Apparently the scorekeeper mistakened my name in one of my half matches. We do not have a team member named Maddie.

Re: Online Skype Practice League - Round 5

Sorry I can't play tonight; my school is having a talent show competition at that same time as my match. I probably won't even be online past 4:30 pm CST today. So, Matt or Greg, can either of you please help me find a sub who would be available tonight to take my spot?

Thanks.

Thursday won't be a good evening for me to play OSPL, as I have a math team meet that day.

Re: Online Skype Practice League - Round 3

Turns out I am not free for the rest of the evening after 6:30 PM EST. Is anyone on the Mutineers team and my team (Peppers) willing to reschedule this week's match from 8:15 EST to some earlier time than that?

Re: Discussion

Hey guys, sorry to admit this but I just joined this SCOP discussion group today and I was wondering if this forum discussion includes discussion about the GHOST SCOP Novice mirror from the tournament on 10/30/2010. If so, can someone please email me the question set from SCOP Novice so that I could...

Re: NT & PORTA Scobol Solo 11/20/10

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I have just one question. What exactly is this round known as the "Desperation Shot"? Like, what is it, how is it run, and how do people qualify for it?

Re: IMSANITY Distribution Discussion

Math and science are pretty practical subjects when it comes to applying them in real life, so I honestly don't see why there's this much complaint about too much math/science in the distribution? In the real world, you pretty much see math and science everywhere, no matter where you go. And we all ...

Re: Five Simple Ways to Get Better

To add to the concept of writing 1-2 line "speedcheck" questions, how about writing ACTUAL tossup questions? Like the pyramidal style ones with six-ish clues arranged from most obscure to most obvious? For Thanksgiving break, my coach recently assigned us to pick 1 topic that is of particu...

Re: Five Simple Ways to Get Better

In addition, will reading study lists also help a lot? I often try to review those in order to refresh my memory on various topics. If that's the case, I'd recommend reviewing NAQT's You Gotta Know as a top choice. Also, I kinda found the Free Stuff on acequizbowlcamp.com helpful, as well as ACE Qui...
