Re: Where Will You Be Going to College Next Year? 2011-12
Seems like good things are going to happen at UNC next year. I kind of regret not even applying to be honest, but I wanted to leave my backyard. Guess I'll try to put Colorado on the quiz bowl map.

I'm going to be going to college in Denver, and one of my main goals was to start up a club at DU and also get HS teams familiar and involved with real quizbowl. In regards to the side events being taken out of the itinerary for next year's NHBB, I would prefer if they stayed because the Sports History Bee was what coaxed me into attending. May I ask what the actual benefits are for hosting all of these games at random places of possible significance in DC? Many high schools host tournaments throughout the year that have their own teams play, so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to, especially if this gets attention from many people in the Tri-State area who would be happy to read if they are looking for something to do.

Apparently, in schools it is recommended that teachers use rounded, wide fonts so they're easier to see from farther away and TNR is not usually recommended. You know, maybe telling people beforehand that the Bee wouldn't include the modern American history round would have been a good idea. When I read books, I like to look up places that I've heard of, but that I'm not sure of their exact location. This also leads to me learning about other obscure locations.
