Usually though, the players the rack up the most powers also tend to neg the most, because they believe they are most knowledgeable and buzz most aggressively, and thus neg more than other players.

May I ask what the actual benefits are for hosting all of these games at random places of possible significance in DC? Many high schools host tournaments throughout the year that have their own teams play, so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to, especially if this gets attention from many people in the Tri-State area who would be happy to read if they are looking for something to do.

Apparently, in schools it is recommended that teachers use rounded, wide fonts so they're easier to see from farther away and TNR is not usually recommended. That's true if some of the Grand Junction players come to DU. It also wouldn't look bad on a resume if I helped start up Colorado quiz bowl...I will probably try to do well in terms of grades first, though.

Unless I acquire some utter disliking for the school when I visit during the weekend of April 14th-16th, I will be attending the University of Denver. Quiz Bowl in Colorado is basically non-existent and DU was one of the last schools I expected to go to, but I may try to start a club if anyone knows...

When I read books, I like to look up places that I've heard of, but that I'm not sure of their exact location. This also leads to me learning about other obscure locations. When I was in elementary school, I read the World Almanac religiously. That's where my basic geography knowledge is derived from.

Eh, I go to Chapel Hill, not East Chapel Hill, though I must say that their quiz bowl team is a lot better than ours. You can keep the East Chapel Hill, NC part on there though. The zoning line is a couple of streets away from my house.

Thank you for hosting a fun and speedy tournament! My only complaint I have is that the afternoon playoff rounds' questions were miles harder than those in the morning. Otherwise, everything was smooth and well-run.

I think the April 21st date would be better, because April 7th is during Spring Break (At least in the CHCCS school district) and it might be hard to get schools to tournaments over Spring Break. Then again, that would only make up three possible attending schools so..just a note.

The only other tournament that may happen is a tournament in Salisbury, NC, which I guess isn't that close to Duke. e are looking to make the set harder than High School trash, but not anything too difficult that it would limit the better sports trash players. Not to sound like a dick, but you could make this tournament a lot harder than "HS Trash" and still not alienate many of the "better' sport...
