At the moment, because we are so small, Cistercian does not host tournaments. St. Mark's hosts one per year, though.

Looking at maps and atlases definitely helps, as does Wikipedia.

Your MPPG could be more easily defined as (Total correct answers)*(10+PPB)+5*Powers. I noticed that a possible city for next year's HSNCT was St. Louis (250 miles from Kansas City, Kansas). That would definitely be inside the KHSAA's restrictions, as would Chicago.

EDIT: Unfortunately, last year's PACE NSC would have just been outside the limit, at 508 miles.

Three Texas teams attended the PACE NSC, with LASA finishing 3rd, Seven Lakes finishing 14th, and Cistercian finishing 20th.

EDIT: Also, at HSNCT, the aforementioned teams finished 2nd, T-8th, and T-21st, respectively.

Here are the stats from the 2011 St. Mark's NAQT Invitational,
played on IS-102 on April 2, 2011. LASA A Went 10-0 to finish in 1st, with Cistercian A finishing 2nd at 9-3. Host St. Mark's A finished in 3rd.
