Hey!
We're giving $10 discounts for each. Right now we're at 7 teams, and will do a full round robin (and a second round of play, TBD.) Let me know - we'd love to have you guys come!

Re: Is there a team at Emory?
Little late in coming, but we've managed to put together a club at Emory! We were just approved for a temporary club charter. Now we've just got to work on fundraising and finding buzzers and the such. This is really good news. If you all are interested in hosting a tournament at some point, I'd be...

Is there a team at Emory?
I will be attending Emory college in Atlanta next fall. I would love to continue playing academic bowl in college, but I am not sure if there is a team at Emory. If there is not a team, is there anyone I could contact in regards to possibly reforming the team?

Re: HFT liveblog
The typos were pretty significant at some points. At least once or twice a round, I would hear a reader say "There's something really wrong with this tossup/bonus, but I'm going to read it anyways..." For the most part, the experienced readers could add in whatever word(s) were missing or ...

In addition, could you post the tossup on A Good Man is Hard to Find? Love the story, but I'm pretty sure we had a bye that round.

Re: Georgia 2011-2012
MIght as well add my thoughts, too. I've not seen all of these teams play, but I've kept up-to-date on most results/discussion so I'll give it a shot: 1. Centennial - They've got Adam Silverman. 5A state title. 2. Alpharetta 3. Norcross - Mostafa's a great player and an extremely hard worker. Put hi...

Re: BHS Quizcub: JV/MS Hybrid (GA)
This is going to have to be rescheduled, possibly for May 14. We had somewhere around 10 teams pull out of the tournament over Spring Break (most citing issues with the date, I believe.)

Re: BHS Quizcub: JV/MS Hybrid (GA)
If you don't mind, might I recommend that you use the Collaborative Middle School Tournament for the middle school division? The CMST is a really excellent set. It's very well written. Each clue is academically significant and leads to the correct answer, and the questions award knowledge really we...

Re: BHS Quizcub: JV/MS Hybrid (GA)
People gave similar assessments after the Berry tournament run on QTQ. True. When I played in the Berry tournament, I did not enjoy the set at all...waaay too much bio, very few title drops, etc so on... But, we've been assured that this set will be much better (our coach has been collaborating wit...

Quizcub Open (JV/MS Hybrid) at Bainbridge High School (GA) on April 23...we'll be using a set written by QuizTeamQuestions. Bainbridge is relatively convenient for South GA/North FL/The Panhandle, but I will admit that we're in a very odd position, geographically (we're pretty much as far south as y...

Re: BHS Quizcub: JV/MS Hybrid (GA)
Field update - +3 teams MS division.
Also, several MS teams in the South GA/North FL area have qualified for the MSNCT in Chicago, and so have decided to play their A team in our JV division in order to prepare/play higher level teams/etc, so that's always an option, too.
