Re: Question Writing
Currently what we do at Buffalo is offer tournament discounts of about $1/question to those who write AND meet the -$50 deadline (or similar). Since there are 48 questions in a pack, this works out pretty well. I also will be hosting a question writing seminar geared toward improving the questions t...

I understand if teams will have trouble forming until the last minute.

Buffalo has started to mirror more tournaments as well, although you probably could find a closer mirror. Welcome to the circuit!!
Also, I'd recommend writing as much as you can, you learn a lot just by researching your questions.

Still polling Buffalo's availability on the 18th, we'll see who wants to play.
I would be willing to play VESPERS if anyone else wanted to. [EDIT: I don't know what the writing status for VESPERS is, but if its done I'd play it.]

Re: Gauging interest for a KABO mirror at Waterloo
Also, if this were pushed to the 25th, I can almost guarantee a Buffalo team of some sort, as our driver would then be available. I understand if you are reluctant to push it back this far, especially from a summer event to what would then be an early fall event. However, I think Valencia has their ...

There is a possibility of a Buffalo team on the 18th. I can't say for sure, as our usual driver is unavailable, as are some of our usual candidates. If this happens, I'll see if we can put a team together.

Looks interesting. The Jean-Baptiste Lully Memorial (Chicago Open 2010 Fine Arts Side Event) is the only similar side event that I can think of, but that was not pure CM. I don't know if I will be playing anything this summer, unfortunately. But I would be interested in playing it.

Pending approval from the TD, I would say that we plan on charging you as if you were only one team.
Otherwise, to cover the mirror fees ($50/team) and still make some money it would be $60/team.
EDIT: We have approval to charge you as one team.
