Just as an early FYI: Glasgow High School will LIKELY be hosting the 2019 Scottie on Saturday, September 14th this year and the 2nd Saturday of September in the future. There is still a chance that we will keep it during the last weekend of August (except for when on Labor Day weekend like this year).

Glasgow enjoyed the Hilltopper Invitational as always! It is a great tradition for us with set routines. Arrive at tournament, compete in tournament, forget our buzzer systems, eat at Mellow Mushroom, find out we left our buzzers, inconvenience WKU staff (Matthew) to retrieve buzzers, and then home!!

Those are some really good points Andrew and they mirror my experiences in Kentucky very closely, especially as it relates to large public schools and the amount of practice time I spend with my kids in comparison to schools like you have mentioned.

For what its worth, a couple of my better players reached out to me last night after seeing the thread and expressed their disappointment with the change. They felt that if we should ever win the SSNCT that it might not mean as much as it had before.

Nick,

You may want to include the SSNCT on May 3 in Minneapolis for the small schools (by NAQT definition). NAQT will not be having a small school playoff at the HSNCT in Chicago this year. They have created a separate event in Minneapolis.
