Re: VHSL States
AA really was full of action, I don't think it could've been much more exciting. Western Albemarle was very impressive, winning late twice to get to the finals, so kudos to Eric and his team. Cave Spring and Christiansburg, last years 1st and 2nd place teams, both played well. They both should have ...

This tournament was run very well by TJ, thanks to them. My only gripe is that the fiery janitor didn't qualify for PACE

Re: Non-DC Metro Virginia 2012-2013
Christiansburg will undoubtedly be weaker, possibly not really a force at all, as I don't see anyone taking the spot of Matt. Blacksburg can never be counted out as they reload every year due to their deep team, but it will be a big step for them as they have to make up for the production of Sam tha...

Re: Maggie Walker's Mirror of ATTACK (5/12/12)
They won without their second best player, so needless to say Christiansburg and Cave Spring are a lot better than many people realize. Good tournament run by Maggie Walker though, we had a lot of fun and things seemed to run pretty smoothly.

I don't really know what ACE practice questions you're talking about, that sort of makes it difficult to gauge your competency..

Re: High School Skype Open June 29th-30th
I don't quite understand why everyone wants to rip this idea, he can make money if he'd like, he can run a free tournament if he'd like. The OSPL is fun and competitive, and run at a time when otherwise I wouldn't be able to play quiz bowl. There also isn't exactly a shortage of sets to play at actu...

Is the max cap on this 20? I'd like to join if there is any remaining space.

Re: VHSL States
Any predictions with this only a week away? It's difficult not to think TJ, being as strong they are this year, will beat Maggie Walker, though under the VHSL format you never know what can happen. In AA, Cave Spring seems to have a relatively easy road to the semifinals, while the round 1 winner of...

Qualifiers from Region IV? We play the no. 2 from that region first round at states, just wondering whether that will be Cave Spring or Christiansburg

Re: VHSL States
I haven't seen Charlottesville at all this year, but have heard they are particularly weaker this season. We, New Kent, played Christiansburg at CSI and lost by about 100 points, and Cave Spring has played them extremely close every time they have matched up, though I'm not sure as to who won their ...
