Re: IHSA Regional Results and Discussion

So let me get this straight .... I have 48 teams in 8 pools of six .... with six teams advancing to the championship pool in the afternoon .... thus winners of the pools advance. Team A is an elite superior team. The only team remotely close to them is Team B, though Team B is clearly inferior. Some...

Re: Decemberist III
We are into the afternoon here, and I am happy to report that all appears to be running smoothly. The real reason this is running smoothly: 1. HSAPQ gave us a pretty darn good set of questions. Nothing is perfect (it never is), but overall the questions sounded good to me. Through five rounds, there...

add Winnebago to the list, and you have the field. Rounds are 20/20 HSAPQ. There will be powers, but no negs. Two pools of 6 = 5 rounds. Teams are ranked based on record, then PPB. Top two from each pool advance to the championship pool, carrying over records = 3 more rounds. Likewise, the middle tw...

I ran the Illinois All-State process from its inception up until about two years ago. The IHSA divides the state into 8 sectionals for small schools (A) and 8 sectionals for big schools (AA).
