Thanks for the S/O Lawrence. I'm the only one leaving ER. We have 2 very motivated players in Vinai and Hunter, and some good candidates for rotating 3rd and 4th scorers. I definitely think our team will be much better than it was this year, or even last year.

Great tournament, always fun to have a tournament at UMD. I would also like a copy sent if possible. I enjoyed the set and thought it was tough, but in a good way. I'll post more on the set thread. Thanks again!

I think Varun and the others have done a great job elucidating the accessibility point I was referring to. QB has a tough barrier to entry. It's not particularly established and you have to look damn hard for info on it when compared to other scholastic activities like debate, Science Bowl, Model UN...

Whoops, missed the RM part. WJ isn't in the mix too. I hope this tournament can get these teams next year and establish its importance for all of MD. It has then right mindset.

How many people can attend NASAT? We're bringing 3 people to tryout, really just for the experience of interacting with top quizbowlers.

Weird to see that a MD champion will be crowned without having to face RM or Blair.

The lack of communication sort of sucks. I'd love to play these teams, but it doesn't look likely this tournament will happen. As it is, we can send all freshmen and qualify for states since top 4 from each regional go to states.

Will the field for each regional be posted?

Went to the DC one last year, and only 5 schools participated. It's not hard to qualify for nationals, you just need to devote a couple days to their study guide and know all the stats.
