I really really liked it, and I know the teammates of mine who attended did as well. We learned so much in such a short period of time. I still have notes I havent finished reviewing. We found that it's very effective to send multiple people to major in the different areas, and I'm pretty sure we'll...

We have three good underclassmen in addition to Beata, all of whom will most likely be attending camp this summer. As for the fifth starter, I don't know, but last year they won a couple of JV tournaments, so I think they'll be up there next year. And since Auburn's two best players are juniors, the...

Just as a hypothetical situation, what if the question had been the integral of dx/x from 2 to 3?

Would ln3-ln2 be an acceptable answer, since ln2 does not convert easily to a known number? Or would ln (3/2) be the only solution?

One of my biggest problems with the matches I played in was the lack of history questions. I can appreciate the government, psychology, and geography questions, but not when they all come at the expense of history. I wouldn't have as big of a problem if it were not for the fact that the entire year ...

I don't disagree with the practice, but I think that the tossup should have the same category as the corresponding bonus. Eh, yes and no. While I can certainly see benefit in this, I think that the variation (my experiences have been that it happens mostly during the state series) rewards more well...

I think our biggest problem, aside from several mistakes on my part, was our inability to gain any sort of rhythm. Each time we would answer a question, there would be some gap before the next one started. We were able to win all year by establishing an early lead, getting into a groove, and never l...

The problem is, that doesn't matter. You can't replay the match. No, we can't. I was just defending a valid statement issued by my teammate. Yeah, except for the fact that he was right. There were a myriad of factors that contributed to the match. I'm not making excuses; we played extremely poorly. But I think if we replayed that match, the outcome would have been different.

In all fairness, New Trier was missing Blair Nathan, which is a significant loss. Especially in Masonic, which had a large share of Social Studies bonuses.

Buffalo Grove won the Libertyville regional, defeating Libertyville in the final by about 150 points.

See y'all at Stevenson on Saturday.

I dont know that Fremd belongs on that list above either New Trier or Auburn. Seeing as how I've not played Auburn, I can't really judge their ability, and we lost to New Trier on Saturday. But I guess we'll know better after Masonic Sate next weekend.

It was. However, when it was going to be held, we were hosting, so it was impractical for us to sign up for NAQT. And even with it canceled, too many other people had made plans for it to be a possibility.

And if it helps at all, the final scores, were, I think:

Garnett-12(13?)
Chang-8(9?)
Beata-7
Ouska-5
Inman-4
Mayer-4
Schallo-3
Bilow-2
Taylor-1

Any of these scores could be wrong, but this is how I remember it.

After about a month of tournaments, what do you guys feel the current rankings are?

I've heard that unofficially, the rankings are:

1. Auburn
2. Stevenson
3. Fremd
4. New Trier

the rest I dont know.
