Re: "Where Are You Going Next Year?" (Collegiate 2024)
I'm going to be getting a masters' at LSE starting in the fall. I will probably play some tournaments on the easier and more NAQTish sides and staff some tournaments on the harder and more ACFish side. If anybody is willing to message me, I would love to learn more about the circuit and how I can co...

I put my name down as a free agent, but still don’t have confirmation on if I’m playing. Can y’all let me know if there’s a space?

Re: Trash Questions in College Sets
I would like to fully agree with Wonyoung. At the risk of derailing this conversation, I would also like to posit that our treatment of pop culture and the general eurocentrism of our arts cannon are related. As black American music has become one of the most influential forces in world culture, not...

Re: Miscellaneous Distribution and Community
Thanks John for pointing out the existence of that thread. I still don’t agree with your stances (my stances seem to have already been argued better by Tommy and Jacob) but your points are well thought out and have a clear vision and purpose to them so I definitely retract my statement that I haven’...

Re: Miscellaneous Distribution and Community
Going off what Mike said, beyond just questioning day to day pop culture or broader engagement with pop culture, there is also a question of if we should be writing pop culture as "trash" or "art". That is, we can either focus on rewarding people for engaging with the most popula...

Re: Best Song of the 1970s Bracket
Bohemian Rhapsody vs. Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood My hardest choice here. For personal listening, I like Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood a lot more, but Bohemian Rhapsody has undeniable sing-a-long song energy going for it. Because I know I'm going to lose, I'm going to vote for the one I like over ...

Re: College Nationals and Its Problems
I think we should be careful before assuming how newer college players feel about graduate students playing without directly asking them. At the risk of appearing myopic, I will use myself as an example. I was a nationally competitive player in high school, who has had an undistinguished college car...

TUPAC (Auditory Pop Music Tournament)
I am excited to announced TUPAC (Tournament Uncovering Players' Auditory Cognizance). This tournament will be 6-8 packets of 20 pyramidal pop music audio questions that are about 55-90 seconds each with somewhere from 5-8 clues per question. I'm using Imaginary Landscape as a model but with adjustme...

I would like to thank everybody who made this set. This was definitely the best high school set I played this year, and was above all else just a ton of fun to play.

I don't know if me or anybody riding with me will be able to stay until Sunday, but if we do, I would be most interested in playing SHEIK or Tricon, and would also play We Have Never Been Modern.
EDIT: We will be leaving Saturday night so will not be playing Sunday side events

Re: 2015 NHBB/USGO Discussion Thread
That was me who accidentally went to the wrong room, and I think it actually caused Daniel Jilek to go from being in the playoffs to having to play in the tiebreaker, which he lost. Sorry about that Daniel, it was an honest mistake.

A St. John's team would play if it was mirrored at PACE, and our coach would like to know if he could play with us.

Would anybody who expressed interest but does not have teammates like to team up? Or alternatively, anybody still need a fourth player? Ideally I'd like to play on a full team of four
