Jakob, Naveed and others are entirely correct. I think hosts should have the right to ask for lineups of teams ahead of time for novice and should be able to ask why a certain experienced player is playing. I never played Collegiate Novice because the rules set up by the forward-thinking University...

Then again, since there does not appear (from my cursory research) to be scholarly consensus on when the Triple Alliance officially ended, --whether it was in August 1914 or May 1915-- that is probably a good argument for accepting answers to either effect out of generosity/player empathy.
