Amazon only returned " One Day..." for a query. I did find an "On Day..." though. No "A day..." I think for early and maybe even mid year tourney should let it slide. States and nationals should def. get strict and reject it i think. Didn't someone get burned last year ...

I actually ventured into the realm of college bowl for some advice on the very topic at hand. I'm attending a small liberal arts college next year but simply can't quit quiz (Ah it's like heroine). I am, however faced with the daunting task of A. Making the jump with no guidance and B. Starting and ...

Ohio had a decent showing, we won an easy room on day one. Had we lost, we would have had a much easier way into finals (fighting for the tennessee spot) but even so, we beat illinois and stayed close to State College. That was in large part due to the format, but i think we could have run with tenn...

Yeah, we went 3-3, i don't know why we played so poorly. The questions were def. slanted without a single art qustion the whole tournament, and only a sprinkle of other fine arts. We did beat James island though, and stomped cabell. I don't think we're returning to NAC, we'll see you guys at NAQT ne...

In all of steven's (swwFCqb) excitement of his previous post, he forgot to mention who we were.

Ohio will be represented by OAC winner Fisher Catholic:
Christine Kennedy - Sr.
Kyle Rainier - Sr.
Steven Wellstead - Jr.
Jill Guinan - Jr.

Forgive steve, he's an animal. woot!

Copley is going to San Antonio, or the texas one, is that right? They weren't as strong this year as they have been recently, but I know they like this format and play it well. It will be interesting to see how they come out.

Thanks for the nod, but heres the thing. Fisher is sending half their team (3/4 varsity) to a conflicting PANASONIC saturday night before play-offs. Is anyone else doing that?? We have a decent draw. Should we make finals, it would be a crapshoot to win. QU is similar to OAC format, and we do it wel...

Bah. Walnut has beaten half those teams Mr. Bellas, at your tournament in November we won two extremely close matches in the quarter and semi-finals against Ohio teams. We played and lost to one of those two schools this year at Turpin, but I can't remember the name of either one. I believe one or ...

Walnut's no TJ, but we finish 1 or 2 most years in a tough conference this can be universally stated about alot of top teams in ohio... we're no TJ, but some are quite good. It really gets my goat that Ohio can't really contend for a national title. In response, I propose we learn from history and ...

Unfortunately we can't go to the windy city for some NAQT because our graduation is so conveniently scheduled for that weekend. A sha...

Wilmington and Columbus Academy also had only one loss in our bracket. Copley was up against mostly B teams, they probably weren't really challenged for their win, I don't know who was behind them.

I hesitate to post on St. Charles, because I don't know the complete results, but since no one else has... We won our bracket on points (three way tie) and were the highest scroing team there. Copley won their bracket and Olentangy Liberty, who made the finals of the golden shamrock, won theirs. The...

Shamrock Results

The Golden Shamrock went over well, I think, it was a good tournament from the biased perspective. I thought some of the rounds were way to easy at times and some questions were lame, such as spell mayonnaise or identify the author by the last word in every stanza of a poem. But you do get that some...

bob, Thanks for the nod, we were all really excited to be back and came out on top of our game. I'd look for copley to come back stronger by their next tournament, though, they always do. Other than them, our bracket was a bit weak. how'd St. Charles and Walsh look on the blue side? I'm also excited...

News from the SE

Well guys, it is a sad day for FC... I couldn't tell you complete results, but in short, we took third. Bexley swept the region going undefeated (who knew?) beating us in the final by a whopping 3 points. Both scores were in the sixties. We had already taken out St. Charles only for them to beat lan...

Lancaster

I have to give a nod to the team across the street. Lancaster probably will not take states, but the have a pretty tough team from our area this year. It's a pretty safe bet that they will clear regionals (giving us a run for our money) and they could take out some upper tier teams. They beat us in ...

Guys, I regret to say that Fisher will probably not make it. Well, we won't. We recently decided played in PA's battle of the burgh using the same questions. who wants to slam jam

Hey guys, first post from FC, and I gotta say that all five teams look pretty sweet this year. I have yet to see the mighty Solon this year, but based on the legends and rumors, it sounds like they take the cake. Copley is always a strong team (I don't wanna talk about that 51-41 in finals of copley...
