Re: 2023 ACF Nationals Specific Question Discussion

1) I thought the Waterfall prelude bonus part could have been a bit more clear that the 27 preludes weren't all part of one set - was a bit confused there This issue did come up in playtesting. I think we changed this from "first of a set of 27", which is, as you say, incorrect, to "...

Bit late here, but making one of my very infrequent visits to the forums and happened to see this. As others have said, there's a big difference between "note-spelling" and score-clues - in fact, you could really call anything relating to the performance aspect of a piece, outside of its m...

I personally disagree with not at least prompting on "Russia" for the USSR question, due to the facts that a) The Canticle of the Sun was composed in 1997, after the 1991 dissolution of the USSR -- a consequential inaccuracy. b) All other works mentioned were created by composers who were...

I'll add my two cents on the music in this set. I thought it was well-written, and written with quite different goals than the music at previous ACF Nats. I've always found Alex's music questions to be engaging, and most importantly, clue parts of the musical canon that more people are likely to kno...

We couldn't do this because of packet availability. 12 rounds was not a possibility for this tournament, because many of our teams had long drives back home and we wanted to be done with everything before finals by 5:30 (which we did in 10 rounds).
