Re: 2017 HSNCT discussion

Dang, I felt special having visited Diocletian's Palace. I feel like Dubrovnik is probably a more difficult clue than Ragusa, considering Ragusa's history with Venice and whatnot. Maybe that's just my Civ knowledge leaking.

Re: 2017 HSNCT discussion

Can I see the tossups on Penny Lane and Ghana? And, if they're available, the conversion stats? Thanks.
Edit: just read above that conversion stats won't be available for a bit. Disregard that.

Re: 2017 NAQT SSNCT: Congratulations Glasgow and St. Mark's!

St. Mark's had a lot of fun this weekend and really appreciate how well NAQT ran the tournament. Besides a few minor glitches, the questions were fresh and well-written, and all the readers were quite good. We're excited about how the win will increase awareness of Quizbowl around our school. Still,...

Re: 2017 St. Mark's Results

Just wanted to say, NAQT has been very helpful in bringing justice to Ethan and Basel. I spent many hours organizing the tournament, so I am very pleased that NAQT has taken this investigation as seriously as we at St. Mark's have. They have been very professional, thorough, and committed to getting...

Re: Midseason Poll

Do I think St. Mark's should've been ranked higher? Yes. Do I play for St. Mark's? Also yes. Our bonus conversion has so far been among the best in Texas (comparable to Taylor's and St. John's's), and while I understand that this is supposed to be more holistic than a pure bonus conversion ranking, ...

At TQBA's Harvard Fall Tournament, St. Mark's A played under the pseudonym "Preppington Heights" just FYI.

Re: HSQBRank 2015-16

St. Mark's A (Dallas, Texas) was missing two of its players (including its by-far best) for the 1/9/16 Mustang Rally, which used an A-level packet, so its performance in that tournament does not reflect the actual strength of the team.
