Re NASAT, I definitely think we would be able to revive a team. As usual, though, it's the cost that's the issue. It might have to be that the players themselves shoulder it unless there's some "angel" who can. Because it's online, at least it would be only the entry fee and not transporta...

The last I knew, Kickoff @ Harrison was cancelled because the normal TD didn't want to navigate the world of online Quiz Bowl.
IASP has yet to determine how they're holding the state tournament series, but at this point, the normal dates are holding.

Instead of mandating a designated "coach" arrive, why not just mandate a chaperone? The chaperone could be a parent, teacher, or a separate coach over 21 (maybe higher), and would be responsible for behavior of the contingent from the school. I'd be fine with a chaperone attending, as lon...

If a team gets 11 tossups and 20 PPB, then their opponent needs to get 9 tossups and 27 PPB to beat them. (11*30=330, and 9*37=333.) I'm ignoring negs, powers, and bouncebacks to simplify things, and the discrepancy isn't as bad if the tossups go 10-9, but it's still difficult to overcome getting f...

The hotter take is that bonuses end up making a difference in a very small number of games. A lot of this just falls under two points:
1. It's a team game, not an individual game, so you should be nothing but supportive of your teammates. You're in this together.
2. It's a game against another team, so you should be nothing but dignified to your opponents. Sportsmanship applies.
