Any chance of running this earlier than 8 pm EST? That's like 2 am over here so it'd be almost impossible for me to play then. I'm fine with staying up and not using a mic to not bother the other people in my apartment. I know I'm asking a lot for one person. On a weekend I could. I've edited the p...

Simply put, this event was amazing. I was excited just for the expected pure food questions but I didn't realize how good the trashy food questions would be. As a middle of the road player at the event I felt I was never "out" of any question. Yeah, that's probably a fair criticism. This is partly b...

It's called a victory lap now, and there are several schools/areas where it's fairly normal (e.g. Waterloo Collegiate Institute IIRC). It's only a victory lap if you actually have all the credits of course. It's worth noting that a recent national tournament of the Canadian non-quizbowl game that w...

Until women writers are a natural, unforced 50% of questions about writers, for instance, then it isn't enough. The problem is, it's not the novel--it's the writer . It seems that for the next while, men are still going to dominate neutral lit, and women are going to be relegated to genre fiction. ...
