Re: University of Georgia- Classic City Classic III (12/06/08)

Will you keep with the general round robin if you have more than 8-10 teams, or move to 2 divisions and bracketed playoffs? How many rounds of questions do you guys have? I only ask because, while I enjoy quiz bowl, it seems a bit superfluous to play 10+ rounds for a field of 10 or fewer teams, does...

Re: Georgia 2008-2009

It does raise some eyebrows since UGA typically has around 25 teams at their tournaments. It looks like there might not even be 15 teams this Saturday; I think there are just over 10 teams as of Monday. I think a couple of the problems they faced were the cancellation of their tournament earlier in ...

I'm not sure how the final standings were calculated, but CHS B knocked Alpharetta out of the playoffs and thus made it a round further than they did. I echo what Mr. Keller wrote. I would also add that the quality and consistency of the questions had a lot to do with the scores in many cases. The questions were well-written and edited in my opinion. There were very few overly-arcane bonus parts, which probably kept bonus conversions for many team...
