Re: ACF Regionals at Brown University (2/23/13)

Yeah, the brackets are mixed together. Top bracket was Penn, Yale A, us, MIT A, NYU, Dartmouth A. I think the other brackets just sort of dissolved or something part way through a RR.

Don't think there's a team, but there's some kind trivia architecture that runs the CU Trivia Bowl (formerly a TRASH regionals, recently a kind of guerilla thing, I think). Someone who knows about this is named Paul Bailey.

Re: Region 1 SCT at MIT (February 16, 2013)

This tournament ran very well, especially for how big it was. Also, back on what I said above, seems weird that Dartmouth will be on the bubble despite having Adj. PPB higher than 8 teams ahead of them, in part because they had their TPPTH adjusted down like they were playing a below-average field. ...

Re: Region 1 SCT at MIT (February 16, 2013)

Not that that there's any obvious way to fix this without the byes, but whichever team ends up 5th is going end up totally screwed since the 6 games against the bottom of the field are going to tank their SOS.

Edit: right? Or am I misunderstanding something?

Like I said, if Delaware was the only bid, so be it: it's hardly the end of the world since it just means it has to be an overnight trip to a rather inconvenient location, which is probably standard for a decent number teams going to SCTs. But that said, clearly the hosting capacity exists: we're ho...
