I agree with what's been said so far, pretty much. Some good ideas, inconsistent difficulty, needed more editing. It was kind of frustrating at times but mostly fun and playable.

My favorite thing about the article on UMD is either that it has a subhead for "Past Members," "Current Members," and then "Former Members," with no distinction between 1 and 3, and that all but one of the current members are gone.

I just want to say that idea of a tournament being "For us, by us" and then insinuating it'd be unfair that old vets who didn't submit a packet wouldn't get to play when some folks we've never even HEARD OF would is the exact opposite of what "for us, by us" should be.

It's kind of a moot point this late in the season, but you can TOTALLY play quizbowl tournaments even if your school is more interested in [or wholly interested in] It's Academic. It's a little disheartening to see you guys have never been to a tourney.

Some teams seem to go about this about as peacefully as possible-- Delaware has both a real quizbowl team and then a bunch of older hangers-on who seem to play only trash. UVA and Penn split games in the prelims, and so a one game final was held. It went to a thrilling overtime, with UVA pulling out the win. Congrats to UVA and Penn, and thanks to everyone who came.
