Re: Next Year

I think a team that went 1-5 and could not once break 150 points on an NAQT A Set at Seton Hall is not "strong" by any quizbowl-related definition of that term. For what it's worth, I played them at that tournament and I do believe they were missing their captain/guy who does all of their scoring. ...

Re: NAQT HSNCT Question Discussion

As I recall, the question had moderator instructions to accept "ground rule double" after a certain point in the question. Which is bizarre. not if until that point the question only talked about ground rules in general that do not apply to doubles I believe that point was something about "bounces ...

Re: NAQT HSNCT Question Discussion

I negged on that question because I misheard it. In retrospect, ground rule double didn't apply to the first clue and applied to every clue after it (from what I can remember, after Coors Field). Because of that they needed to eliminate the first clue to turn it into a legitimately good tossup. Als...

Re: NAQT HSNCT Question Discussion

I think that the tossup on ground rule(which was the right answer) should not have accepted ground rule double because the question did not specifically mention doubles. It mentions "any rule specific to a ball park" or something along that line that did not specify doubles.

We played against a stuffed whale and a stuffed Pinky(of pinky and the brain). If the brain made it, we might have lost, but we beat them.

Devon from WMB checking in AKA-The Biggest Negger They said I had 17, but I really had 24. Shove it, guys. I have the results, and your neg totals were 17 in the prelims(which is what counted for the neg award) and 6 more in the playoffs, which total to 23, not 24, and in the part that counted for ...

This "may" be off topic, but seeing as we have all gone out on a limb bashing nurik which should get you all tempbanned like him, I want to know what is so wrong about editing posts. Bashing someone about their behavior is just as bad as what he did, so don't go around all righteous saying how pompo...
