Often times schools free up funds to clubs for doing work for them, i.e. cleaning up after football games, selling concessions. Having mass crowd practices seemed to help me over the past couple years, as EP's lunch practices were basically those. As pre-tournament tune-ups I feel it helps to go as teams, but for learning crowd seems like a better way. It may not help with buzzer hesitancy, but it helps with hearing clues.

Except Federer. He did kind of lose, and in a lot of people's eyes he lost the number one spot in the world. All of those brackets have at least two teams that I would cower in fear of playing. I'd say Hawkins is the group of death (Charter A and Dorman B would be seeded 4th and 5th overall in my mind), but there's not a single one I would want to be in.

I negged on that question because I misheard it. In retrospect, ground rule double didn't apply to the first clue and applied to every clue after it (from what I can remember, after Coors Field). Because of that they needed to eliminate the first clue to turn it into a legitimately good tossup.

My ballot wasn't based on predicting positions at Nationals. I based it on who I thought was really good and who would win head-to-head. To me format/tournament doesn't matter too much. I wouldn't not vote for a team because they're missing a tournament (or both).
