Re: Illinois '08-'09

Just one thing that I fell in love with after solo and NT varsity: Is there any way that the card system could be used at kickoff? I love the concept of playing a team with an equal record of you, especially because it prevents an elite team form dominating a bracket and crushing the other teams in ...

Re: Illinois '08-'09

I think that's the problem there are a ton of schools that are represented in the IHSA, few even have teams that meet on a regular basis and attend tournaments other than state, even fewer know that other states don't have a four part bonus format, and even fewer give a crap about national formats a...

Re: Illinois '08-'09

I'll give it a shot 1. Auburn-Returning Siva and Mike, both should be enough to carry them to the promise land, and maybe even a triple crown if they attend all three. 2. Carbondale- Paul, and Tony coming back, and I'm sure the other three starters will be present at ACE which makes any team a compe...

Also, is turnabout a different format of tournament? Or does it just have a seasonally inspired name?

Re: Illinois '07-'08

So NT varsity and Kickoff will be run on the same format. Though the non use of 4 part bonuses means that IHSA doesn't agknowledge those as scholastic bowl. Do you think that will effect the attendance at those events? In regards to the unfamiliarity, maybe make the first two matches of kickoff 10 s...

Re: Illinois '07-'08

IHSSBCA.org says that kickoff will have a new bonus format. 3 part with bounceback? Also does the drastic drop in time that this bonus format would take mean that there will be more than 5 matches a team? Or will it still be 5 and then playoffs?

Though some of the questions may have run a little wrong, and the time alloted for matches was way to short (we finished the championship match at 905) I would much rather be here complaining that the questions were too long, then complaining that they were all one line buzzer beaters.
