Sarah, the State College-James Monroe match has been left out on prelim stats. Overall, this was a very well done tournament; I think the card system moved pretty efficiently. Some of the playoff questions had giveaway-ish clues in their early lines and didn't seem too well edited, and there was a l...

I was skeptical about the complaints about the questions, but I have to concur. Re: GSAC XVI: December 6, 2008

I think the double rebracketing involved with this would take way too long, and it's not a good idea for playoff rounds to be determined after three matches. I think 8 of 6 and then 12 of 4 would work better, although that does reduce the number of matches played. So, under your proposed system, yo...

Hey, I'm not sure whether any other thing than the eight brackets of six, two brackets of four will work given the constraints (1) no single-elim and (2) 48 teams, 10 packets, (3) don't eliminate half your field before 3 rounds. If you and teams are willing to do the "eliminate half your field from...

I'd be happy to write it if people really want it, but I would have to think there would be more demand for a history tournament or something of the like. I'd play this (geography) if it happened somewhere near Virginia (like Weekend of Quizbowl). A history theme tournament would be equally awesome.
