I am not a fan of the preponderance of military history in the history questions. However, I haven't been playing nearly long enough to know whether this is a feature of regular difficulty tournaments. Firmly stick to the full-line switch at the half. Even taking out the player who answered 7 toss-ups in the 1st half. You must take that player out, he's answering too many questions. Not only will this greatly increase the mediocrity of your team, it has the added bonus of making your scorekeepers...

Beating a dying horse here, but it is pretty bad to say that good students should be tutoring by default. Just because you're good at knowing stuff doesn't make you a good teacher. Of course, teaching can help the tutor know the material better, but you still need to consider skill and inclination.

Yeah, the UTC tournaments I've attended all (I guess) gave out the Insanely Early Buzz and Gloriously Wrong Answer awards, with moderators keeping track of nominations.

I've been using the reader today, and the only problem I'm having in Firefox is that using space to buzz isn't working, though clicking works fine. Space to start the question and Enter to submit an answer also work; it's just the buzzing that's not working.
